Terms of Service

Welcome to Slashy. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Slashy's email client services, including our website, applications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of those changes.

To use Slashy, you must create an account and connect at least one Gmail account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Promptly update your account information if it changes
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach

You must be at least 13 years old to use Slashy. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian.

You agree to use Slashy only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service to send spam, phishing emails, or other unsolicited communications
• Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third party rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Use the Service to transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) without our explicit permission
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Collect or harvest user information without consent

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in any activity that we deem harmful to the Service or other users.

Slashy connects to your Google account via OAuth authentication. By connecting your Google account, you grant us permission to:

• Read, send, and manage your email messages (Gmail)
• Access and manage your calendar events (Google Calendar)
• Access video meeting metadata and create meeting links (Google Meet)
• Access email and calendar metadata (sender, recipient, subject, date, attendees)
• Modify labels and organizational structures
• Send emails and create calendar events on your behalf based on your instructions

You can revoke Slashy's access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account settings or through Slashy's settings. Your compliance with Google's Terms of Service is your responsibility.

Slashy uses artificial intelligence to provide features such as tone matching and email drafting. Important points:

• AI generated content is provided as suggestions only
• You are responsible for reviewing and approving all AI generated content before sending
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of AI outputs
• Our agreements with AI providers prohibit them from retaining Slashy customer data or using it to train models
• We store AI memories and conversation history (encrypted) to improve your experience

Slashy offers paid subscription plans. Trial or promotional access may be available under the terms shown at signup. For paid plans:

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• You authorize us to charge your payment method for recurring subscription fees
• Prices may change with 30 days' notice
• Refund requests are reviewed at our discretion and as required by applicable law
• You are responsible for all taxes associated with your subscription
• Failure to pay may result in service suspension or termination

You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

The Service, including its code, design, logos, and content, is owned by Slashy and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain all rights to your email content. By using Slashy, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and display your content solely to provide the Service.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service or included software without our explicit written permission.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error free
• The results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable
• Any errors in the Service will be corrected
• The Service will meet your specific requirements

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SLASHY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is lesser.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature in your settings. Upon termination:

• Your access to the Service will be immediately revoked
• We will delete your account data within 7 days
• Backup copies are deleted within 7 days (up to 14 days during active incidents)
• Cancellation does not by itself create a right to a refund for unused subscription time

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association's rules, rather than in court, except that you may assert claims in small claims court if they qualify.

You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class wide arbitration.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the Service.
